Dursley Lions Club President, Adrian Hutchings welcomes you to the website of the Dursley Lions Club. The Club was chartered in 1981 and now has approx. 34 members. It meets on the first and third Thursdays of every month at the Lion's Den in May Lane, Dursley, Gloucestershire. Dursley is about half way between Bristol and Gloucester on the fringe of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. In addition to the Lions, Dursley has a Lioness Club whose 17 members are also active in the community. Dursley Lions Club is twinned with Cashel Lions Club in Tipperary, Ireland (www.cashellionsclub.ie ) and exchange visits are made on a regular basis -
Since its charter, the Dursley Lions Club has become a prominent organisation in the area, raising money for charities and other funded groups through events such as the weekly furniture sale and the Frocester Beer Festival.
Dursley Lions Club falls within District 105W which encompasses clubs in south and mid Wales, Herefordshire, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, and Somerset.
